O carpinteiro português Carlos Alberto passou dez meses construindo esta lambreta, ou vespa, todinha de madeira, menos o motor e as rodas, claro. Continue lendo e veja várias fotos desta obra de arte.

Ele utilizou dez tipos de madeira, e um motor original ano 1957. Capaz de chegar a 46 milhas por hora, ou cerca de 70 km/h, Alberto teve a idéia em 2001, conversando com amigo, apreciador destes veículos, mas só começou a trabalhar no projeto em outubro de 2007.

Coberta com um verniz especial à prova de fogo, com madeiras do Brasil e Moçambique, a Vespa de Alberto saiu por $ 2.000 euros, mas para ele o pequeno scooter não tem preço.

The machine was made in ten months by Carlos Alberto and has been carved out of ten different types of wood and even has an original 1957 Vespa engine.

Capable of speeds of up to 46 mph, Mr Alberton first hit on the idea in 2001 during a conversation with a fellow Vespa enthusiast, but didn't start work on his labour of love until October 2007.

Covered in a special fire-proof varnish and built using woods from Brazil and Mozambique, Mr Alberto's Vespa cost him 2,800 euros, but to him the tiny scooter is priceless.
